Thank you for this important service that you provide. Twice recently I was informed about the passing of parents of friends with whom I am not in frequent contact. I was able to visit with them, express my condolences and reminisce.

I subscribed a while ago and haven't had a chance to write you and tell you how wonderful your site and service are.  Our Donations office has also subscribed and Celia  who manages the Donations Office finds your site so helpful in her daily operations.  I wish you much success with this innovative project.

I would like to say that the Jewish Passing Newsletter made me aware of the loss of a dear old neighbour this week. I have not been in touch with this person for many years, and would not have heard about his passing through word of mouth, and I don't check the website of the funeral homes on a daily basis. My reading the notice you sent out, I was able to post a message to his family on the Benjamins website. So subscribing to your Email notices, provides a valuable service to us, and I thank you for that.

I think this is a wonderful idea. I don't have the opportunity to read the paper every day and if I do have some time I rarely get to the death and birth announcements.  Thanks for creating this. Best of luck.

In a recent daily newsletter from JewishPassings, I read the name of a former work colleague who had passed away. His obituary was not printed in any Toronto paper. If I wasn't a subscriber to JewishPassings I would never have known about it, and would not have had the opportunity to express my sympathies.

We have passed this on with pleasure. It will provide a valuable service. It is a brilliant idea!

Subscribing to the Jewish Passings newsletter eliminates the concern about missing funerals or shivas. We realize the information regarding the deaths of people close to us will get through, however it is the passing of acquaintances or their family members that often get missed.

I agree that, while death is a subject about which most rather not think about, it is nevertheless a fact of life. This service is a noble pursuit and one that is indispensable for the Jewish community.

As Webmaster for B nai Brith, Thornhill Lodge, the information I receive from this service is a valuable backup tool to ensure that no one is missed. Too many tasks, not enough time! But being on the mailing list with Jewish Passings assists me in keeping up with my personal condolences and those relating to our members. Thank you Jewish Passings!
